s7-edge-nougat-betaWhile Android 7.0 Nougat has been out for a while already, there are still many OEMs out there who have yet to push the update out to their devices. Samsung is one of them, but the good news for Galaxy S7 Edge owners is that it looks like the company could be preparing some kind of beta program that will allow users to get in on the Nougat beta testing.

While it is being reported that it is for the Galaxy S7 Edge, we can only assume that it will apply to the Galaxy S7 as well, especially when you consider that both phones are essentially identical in hardware specs, save for the display in which the S7 Edge has curved displays on its side, but other than that they’re both the same.

It also seems that this testing is currently being done in the UK via the Galaxy Beta Program, so if you’re not in the UK you might not be able to participate. The good news is that we can only assume that with the launch of the program that other countries should follow suit, and that it could mean that an official release isn’t too far behind.

It’s anyone’s guess as to when the update will actually be announced, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information.
