If you’re looking forward to seeing what kind of new wearables Fitbit might be putting out next, especially after Fitbit’s acquisition spree that saw them snap up companies such as Pebble and smartwatch maker Vector, you might be interested to learn that we could be expecting the company to soon announce what they are calling the Fitbit Alta HR.

This is according to the folks at Wareable who have done some digging around Fitbit’s websites and uncovered the image above as well as references to the wearable. The website quotes Fitbit’s CEO James Park who had previously hinted at possible new products where he said that Fitit was “developing upgraded versions of existing products”.

Unfortunately apart from a name and the design of the device, not much else is known about the Fitbit Alta HR. From what we can tell it looks like a very typical fitness tracker, although it does appear to be very thin compared to some of Fitbit’s other trackers, although it is in line with the existing Alta model which seems to be designed as more of a bracelet.

However the addition of “HR” to its name and the image above does confirm that the device will have a heart rate monitor, so if checking your heart rate is a feature you think the Alta should have, then this could be worth looking forward to.
