All of the rumors and reports about the Galaxy S8 so far suggest that the handset is not going to have a home button. This also means that it will not have the two navigation buttons that you normally find on either side of the home button. It appears that the Galaxy S8 will stick with software-based navigation buttons and today a purported picture of the Galaxy S8 has leaked online, possibly showing us the navigation buttons.

This is actually the first time that a leaked photo of the Galaxy S8 is drawing our attention not towards the design but towards something else entirely. The Galaxy S8’s design has been leaked time and again in renders so there’s really no need to see any more of them.

We can see a bottom bar in this image that features a back button on the right corner. One can expect to see other relevant buttons pop up in this bar as and when required. The good thing about software-based buttons is that they can be tweaked to suit each particular app or service, at least as far as native apps and services are concerned.

Samsung is due to reveal later this month when it’s going to launch the Galaxy S8. The company is going to launch two variants of this flagship, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, at an event next month.
