With the LG G5, for some reason LG decided to throw in a 2,800mAh battery which is actually a step down from the previous G phones, such as the LG G3 and G4 where both handsets packed a 3,000mAh battery. The good news is that if you were looking forward to the LG G6, you could also be looking forward to an increase in battery size as well.

According to a report from ETNews in Korea (via Pocketnow), they are quoting an official at a carrier who claims that the battery size of the LG G6 will be of the 3,200mAh variety. This represents an increase over the entire LG G-series of handsets, as well as a pretty big 400mAh difference from the LG G5.

Of course we have no way of confirming if the rumors are true so take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully they are true because having a bigger battery is definitely a good thing. The report goes on to add that the LG G6 is currently undergoing networking testing and will feature water and dust protection with IP68 certification.

In any case we should find out all the official details at MWC 2017 which is when LG will be making the official announcements, so be sure to check back with us towards the end of February for all the official details.
