Recently there was a video published in which we saw the Samsung Galaxy S8 go against the LG G6 in a speed test. Given that both Samsung and LG are rivals since both companies pretty much make similar products and cater to similar markets, it was a pretty exciting thing to see. However we’re sure many are curious about Samsung’s other rival: Apple.

Thankfully we have our answers as the good folks over at EverythingApplePro on YouTube have uploaded a video which compares the Galaxy S8 against the iPhone 7 Plus. In the initial testing where they compared how fast apps took to load and how long they would load once they were closed and reopened, the iPhone 7 Plus completely crushed the Galaxy S8 where it did not even come close.

It’s also interesting to note that on the Galaxy S8, there seems to be some kind of weird lag from the time the user touches on an app’s icon to launch it to the time that it actually launches. We’re not sure what’s up with that but maybe a software fix could address that. That being said, this by no means indicates that the Galaxy S8 is a slouch because it is anything but.

Not to mention it’s not as if Android users would so easily jump ship to iOS simply because of such a test, but it’s still rather interesting especially when Apple has in the past been given a lot of flack for their less than impressive (on paper) hardware.
