If you love mashups in video games like the Marvel VS Capcom series, or Street Fighter X Tekken, then you might have heard that last year, the latest title in the Marvel VS Capcom series was announced in the form of Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite. The game was set for a release in 2017, and now we have a specific date to look forward to.

In a post on the Capcom website, the company has confirmed that the title will be released on the 19th of September, 2017. According to Capcom, “As exciting as our prior Marvel vs. Capcom fighting games have been, we’ve never seen a true fusion of the two iconic universes. Yes, heroes and villains crossed the stream, so to speak, but did we ever truly see the worlds collide? In Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, not only will combatants from both sides be hurled into chaos, but they’ll also be hounded by the game’s titanic new threat – Ultron Sigma, a fusion of two of the most menacing mechanoids from the Marvel and Capcom universes.”

Capcom has also announced additions to the roster of characters which will include Ultron, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu, and Chris Redfield. They have also announced that they will be taking pre-orders today where there will be three different versions of the game that gamers can pre-order.

The standard version pre-order is priced at $60 and will also include Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu Premium Costumes. There is also the Deluxe Edition priced at $90 which will include the two costumes mentioned above, along with Gladiator Hulk and Command Mission X, and the 2017 Character Pass that will grant players access to 6 post-launch characters.

Last but not least is the Collector’s Edition priced at $200 which will also come with four interlinking dioramas from the TriForce, LED-powered Infinity Stones, and a Deluxe Edition copy of the game.
