iPhone 8 Launch Rumored For Next Month

There was a time when Apple unveiled new smartphones at its Worldwide Developers Conference event in June but the company hasn’t done that in a very long time. The last iPhone to be unveiled at WWDC was the iPhone 4 that came out back in 2010. Since then, Apple has been unveiling new iPhones in September. There’s no reason to believe that it’s going to shift from tradition this year but an analyst at JPMorgan has made an ambitious prediction that the iPhone 8 launch is going to take place next month.

The prediction is made in the analyst report that was sent out to investors after Apple’s announced its quarterly earnings result yesterday. The report mentions that there’s a “high likelihood” that the iPhone 8 is going to be announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2017 next month.

This prediction is completely opposite to what we’ve heard so far about the iPhone 8’s launch. It was initially expected to be launched in September like all of its predecessors, but many recent reports have suggested that supply issues might force Apple to delay the launch to 2018.

If that really is the case, there’s no way that Apple will end up unveiling its 10th Anniversary iPhone at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2017 next month. It seems highly unlikely that this is going to happen.

Apple is expected to unveil new hardware at WWDC 2017, though. The company’s rumored Siri smart speaker might be announced next month.
