Twitter Channel Released For Roku

Twitter has been working hard on improving its video streaming offerings over the past few months. It recently inked an agreement with Bloomberg to broadcast news from the network around the clock. Twitter has developed apps for smart TV platforms which enable users to easily tune into its video offerings through their televisions. It’s now available as a channel for Roku. Twitter’s channel is now available for Roku streaming players and Roku TV models in the United States.

It enables users to live stream content offered on Twitter and also see the conversation surrounding that content taking place on Twitter alongside the stream. It allows for a more immersive and engaging experience as users are able to view the content and relevant tweets side by side. It really adds more value to the entire experience.

Users can access a wide variety of live streaming video on Twitter which includes original programming and live simulcasts in entertainment, sports, news, and politics. It will also be possible to browse commentary via the Twitter timeline while live streaming an event using the app.

All users with a Roku streaming player or Roku TV in the United States can now get the Twitter live streaming experience straight on the biggest screen in the house.
