After not launching a new Assassin’s Creed game in 2016, or at least not part of the main franchise, Ubisoft did confirm last month that a new title was in the works (along with Far Cry), but the question is when will it be released? Thanks to a post on Reddit, it seems that a potential release date might have been revealed.

The post on Reddit shares a couple of images from an upcoming issue of Game Informer magazine in which Assassin’s Creed Origins will be on the cover. Not only does this leak confirm that the game will be known as Assassin’s Creed Origins, but it also confirms the setting of the game which is set in ancient Egypt, and a release date which is apparently for the 27th of October, 2017.

The images revealed quite a bit of information about the game, such as pricing where it will be priced at $59.99 for the standard edition, $69.99 for the Deluxe Pack, and $99.99 for the Gold Edition which is the Deluxe Pack bundled with a season pass. There will also be a $109.99 Gold Steelbook Edition which is everything above along with a steelbook.

It is also reported that the game will feature a new combat system, new AI, and more. There was no mention of multiplayer which seems to be in line with an earlier report. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but perhaps we will find out more about the game at E3 2017 which takes place next week.
