We previously reported that The Sims 4 will be released for the Xbox One this November and today The Sims 4 release date for the PlayStation 4 has also been confirmed. EA has confirmed today when this title is going to be released for both Sony and Microsoft gaming consoles. This game was first released for Windows PC three years ago. It’s the first Sims title in nearly a decade to make its way to a console.

As previously mentioned, The Sims 4 is the first console release for a main franchise ever since The Sims 3 was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii way back in 2010.

EA has also confirmed today that The Sims 4 will receive periodic game updates and more content once it’s released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

All customers who pre-order the title will get a “Perfect Patio Stuff” content pack which features outdoor hot tubs for Sim living and additional items.

EA Access subscribers will be able to play The Sims 4 for free starting November 9th through November 17th. They will be able to carry over their progress to the full game if they decide to purchase it later.

The Sims 4 is going to be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 17th.
