The Tesla Model 3 is a car that has been quite hyped up and for good reason. This is because unlike other Tesla models which are admittedly rather pricey, the Model 3 will be a slightly more affordable Tesla vehicle, meaning that those who have been coveting a Tesla, the Model 3 could be their gateway into the Tesla world.
According to Tesla, they have so far received more than 400,000 pre-orders, and according to a recent report from Bloomberg, Tesla also recently revealed that the company is averaging more than 1,800 net Model 3 reservations per day. The company expects to build 1,500 Model 3s during the third quarter of the year, and expects that by the end of the year, they will be able to reach as 5,000 units.
This means that based on the rate that they are producing and the number of orders that are coming in, it is clear that demand is exceeding supply by a great deal, so if you are considering getting your hands on the Model 3, be prepared to do quite a bit of waiting since we expect it will be a while before things are fully ramped up.
However if what we know about the Model 3 and what we are seeing in photographs are any accurate, it seems that the car could be well worth the wait, however long that might be.
