It was confirmed recently that a new Terminator movie is in the pipeline. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be returning as the robot from the future in the new movie. He’s not the only original cast member that’s coming back. It was also confirmed recently that Linda Hamilton is coming back as well. The new Terminator movie release date has finally been confirmed today. We’ll have to wait almost two years for it.

The sixth installment in the popular Terminator franchise will be released in the summer of 2019. The announcement was officially made today by Paramount Pictures. Linda Hamilton is back as Sarah Connor while Schwarzenegger will be back as the cyborg.

Series creator James Cameron will be producing it. This will be the first time that he, Hamilton and Schwarzenegger have worked together on the Terminator franchise since the Terminator 2: Judgment Day film that was released in 1991. Deadpool director Tim Miller will be in the director’s chair for this movie.

The film, as yet untitled, is going to be based on a story penned by Cameron and Miller from a script developed by David Goyer and Josh Friedman. A new Terminator trilogy will likely kick off with the upcoming movie.

No details about the plot itself have been revealed but Cameron has previously mentioned that the movie will be a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

The new Terminator movie is going to hit the big screen on July 26th, 2019.
