Apple is focusing on selling as many iPhone X units as it possibly can right now. Its CEO Tim Cook has a really interesting logic to make it seem like the $1000 iPhone X isn’t that expensive. Nevertheless, we’ve already started hearing reports about the 2018 iPhone X. It’s definitely going to be an improvement compared to the original model. A new report claims that the 2018 iPhone X is going to feature a new metal frame which will enable faster wireless data transfers.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that Apple will adopt a new casing for the 2018 iPhone X to improve the quality of data transmission. This will apparently see the expansion of the company’s casing business to suppliers like Casetek and Catcher.

The iPhone X’s casing is made up for four parts and it successor’s casing is now believed to have more than that. Apple will be making this change to improve data transmission and reception.

The material isn’t expected to be switched, though. The iPhone X has a stainless steel metal frame and we’re likely to see that in its successor as well.

Obviously, it’s too early to be sure about what the 2018 iPhone X may and may not turn out to be. It’s not expected until the third quarter of next year which means we’ll definitely hear a lot more of such reports before Apple unveils it officially.
