The next movie in the new Star Wars trilogy is going to be released in December. The fans are certainly excited to see The Last Jedi. It’s not uncommon for movie studios to team up with other companies to jointly promote their offerings. It seems that Samsung might be taking part in one such partnership. Word on the street is that it may launch a Galaxy Note 8 Star Wars edition in the near future.

A China-based source has leaked an image on Twitter which suggests that the Galaxy Note 8 Star Wars edition is in the pipeline. This particular source has a good track record so there might be some truth to this.

It merits mentioning here that Samsung has done something similar in the past as well. It launched the Galaxy S8 Pirates of the Caribbean edition not too long ago. There was also an Iron Man edition of the Galaxy S6 edge a couple of years ago.

So it certainly won’t be surprising if the company decided to launch the Galaxy Note 8 Star Wars edition. However, like we’ve seen on the previous handsets, there won’t be any design changes. These limited edition units normally have exclusive content like themes, ringtones, wallpapers, and multimedia content.

Everything else about the device remains the same. That’s likely going to be the case with this special edition model as well. It remains to be seen if Samsung is going to offer this handset in all markets or if it’s just going to be limited to China.
