Being stuck on a plane in a cramped coach/economy seating for the next 10-12 hours is a terrible feeling, but unfortunately not all of us can afford to fly business or first class, which means that sometimes in order to travel, such sacrifices have to be made. However if you can afford it, it looks like there will now be more luxury options for you to choose from.

Singapore Airlines has recently taken the wraps off their latest luxury cabin that will be debuting in the Airbus SE A380 planes, and as you can see in the photo above, it would have easily been mistaken for a hotel room due to its size and the amenities offered. Luxury cabins aren’t exactly new and we have seen quite a number being offered by airline companies such as Emirates and Etihad, although Singapore Air Chief Executive Officer Goh Choon Phong seems to suggest that this latest unveiling has nothing to do with the competition.

According to Goh, “We do not compare ourselves with competitors. We developed the product with the customer in mind.” The airline company has cut the number of luxury cabins in its plane from 12 down to 6, which in turn allows them more space to create larger and more comfortable offerings, like a full sized bed and even an armchair that can recline. Even the bathrooms have been upgraded, where one will even have a sit-down vanity counter, something that not all regular homes have to begin with. No word on how much it could cost, but it is expected to go into service next month.
