Earlier this month, OnePlus announced the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition, which is basically the OnePlus 5T except with some slight tweaks to its design and also some additional Star Wars content that is preloaded on the phone. However it seems like OnePlus wants to encourage customers to purchase it and have announced a rewards program.

This rewards program is only applicable to the first 37 people who purchase the phone, in which together with Star Register, OnePlus will name a star in the galaxy after the 37 customers who purchased the phone (one star per customer). While it isn’t necessarily a material reward, we guess having a star in the galaxy named after you is actually pretty cool, and it does fit into the whole Star Wars/space theme that they’re going for.

Customers will also receive a personalized Star Wars constellation along with a certificate that proves that the star has been named after them. That being said, note that the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition handset is limited to a handful of markets which means that it isn’t available in all markets that the regular OnePlus 5T is, so depending on where you are from, you might not be able to participate in this rewards program.
