Pokemon Go developer Niantic recently confirmed that it’s working on a new Harry Potter game. Many fans of this popular franchise are excited to see what Niantic ends up creating but that’s not the only new mobile Harry Potter game that they now have to wait for. A new title, called Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, is going to be released for mobile devices next year.

The Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery mobile RPG is being developed by Jam City. The developer has previously worked on titles like Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow. The new title was officially announced on Pottermore, the official website for all things related to the franchise.

The game will enable players to create their own characters and “experience life as a student.” Players will be able to take part in the Dueling Club, attend classes, and mingle with characters from the Harry Potter universe.

As for the mystery part of the title, that remains to be seen, there will likely be some element of mystery to the title in order to keep fans interested.

We’ll certainly find out more about it in the months to come. Jam City is yet to confirm precisely when Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is going to be released in 2018.
