Recently we heard rumors that Nokia, HMD Global, and Foxconn are working on creating a penta-lens camera setup. Now according to the latest leak from China (via GSMArena), a diagram has surfaced which is allegedly that of the Nokia 10 with the rumored penta-lens setup, although admittedly it does seem rather crude and suspicious.

It is unclear if this diagram is the real deal, but like we said the sketch is rather crude and the layout does seem a bit strange. However in the past we have seen how Nokia has pushed the boundaries when it comes to smartphone cameras, such as with the PureView, so for them and HMD to launch a penta-lens smartphone wouldn’t really be that much of a stretch.

That being said, HMD did promise that the company would have some “awesome” Nokia-related news to share at MWC 2018, which is kicking off towards the end of February. Exactly what that will entail remains to be seen, although we’re hoping that we will be able to expect a flagship-level device.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information about Nokia/HMD’s plans for the future.
