Earlier today Apple announced a new, cheaper 9.7-inch iPad and if you’re thinking about getting your hands on it, you might be interested to learn that Logitech has since announced a couple of new accessories for the iPad, one of which is Logitech’s take on the Apple Pencil, and the other a rugged keyboard case for those who take their tablets on the go.

Starting with the stylus, Logitech is calling this the Logitech Crayon, which we guess given the shape and size does seem like it’s leaning towards that side. It is priced at $49 which is more or less half of what the Apple Pencil costs, and that it leverages the Apple Pencil technology when it comes to precision, low latency, and also offers tilt support. It will work with a bunch of different apps and also features an 8 hour battery life.

Next up is the Logitech Rugged Combo 2 case, which as you can see in the image above, has been designed to withstand a few bumps and knocks. It also comes with a cover that doubles as a keyboard. The keys have also been designed to be pry resistant which means that they’ll be hard to damage, and also been designed to be silent so students can hammer away at them and not worry about causing a racket.

According to the company, the case was designed with input from educators to withstand the rigors of daily use in the classroom. Pricing of the Logitech Rugged Combo 2 is at $99.99 and will be available via Apple’s Education website.
