Several weeks ago, there was a rumor that suggested that Blizzard could be bringing Diablo 3 to the Nintendo Switch. This was teased even further by a short video that Blizzard posted, except that following the excitement and hype, Blizzard basically denied that they had no plans to announce Diablo for the Switch.

However could Blizzard simply be playing coy? According to Eurogamer, that might be the case because according to their sources, it seems that Blizzard is indeed working on bringing Diablo 3 onto the Switch. It is possible that Blizzard simply did not want to let the cat out of the bag too early, and that the tweet might have been in response to the earlier rumor.

Given that we’ve seen companies outright deny certain rumors, only to have them proven true later, we suppose this isn’t really that surprising. However when exactly the game will be announced remains to be seen, but if the previous report was any accurate, there is a good chance that it might only arrive in 2019 which is quite a long time to wait, especially when you consider the fact that many gamers are more interested in seeing a Diablo 4.

In any case it’s probably best taken with a grain of salt for now, so temper your expectations and hopefully we’ll hear from Blizzard in the near future, which if we had to guess would probably be in November during BlizzCon 2018 (but hopefully earlier).
