While big name titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey were much welcome on the Nintendo Switch, the console is also starting to become a favorite amongst indie developers looking to bring more platforms to release their games on. Just recently Klei’s “Don’t Starve” was announced for the Switch, and now it looks like there will be another indie title to look forward to.

This comes in the form of Campo Santo’s Firewatch, a game that was launched in 2016 that is now expected to find its way onto the Switch. No launch date was mentioned save for a rough timeframe in the form of a spring launch, although that could mean that we can expect it in the next few months.

According to the announcement on its website, “Imagine: The sounds of a babbling brook, a cool mountain breeze blowing through the timber. And in your hands, your trusty Nintendo Switch. This Spring, take your Nintendo Switch on an outdoor adventure and experience the gripping mystery beloved by gamers and critics alike.”

The game has won several awards, such as the Best Indie Game at the Golden Joystick Awards in 2016. The ability to play it on the go is no doubt a very welcome feature and we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more information regarding its availability.
