ConcernedApe’s Stardew Valley indie farming sim has been out for a while now and we suppose in a way it has gotten a bit long in the tooth. However if you have been following the news, its developer has been working on changing that with new features, such as new single-player content as well as an upcoming multiplayer mode.

Multiplayer for Stardew Valley has been in testing for a while now and the good news is that it looks like it could be launching soon. This is according to a tweet by ConcernedApe in which he states that progression on the update is going well and that if all goes according to plan, it could be ready in about a month’s time.

Of course as is the case with software development, sometimes things don’t necessarily go according to plan. There could be some bugs discovered halfway through that are bigger than initially thought and could require more time to iron out, thus delaying the feature even further, so take this timeframe with a grain of salt for now.

The update will be a free update and is expected to first make its way onto the PC, followed by the Nintendo Switch, and then the PS4 and Xbox One. We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more information for when the update is available.
