Netflix recently released a trailer for the fifth season of Arrested Development. The cult comedy’s fans have been waiting for a long time for the new season to arrive and it’s going to be premiered on the online streaming service later this month. However, Netflix won’t be releasing the entire season at once. It’s actually going to split the season into two parts and only the first part is going to be available for binge watching later this month.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the 16-episode fifth season of Arrested Development is going to be split into two and that the first eight episodes will be released on Netflix come May 29th.

Fans will already be aware that Arrested Development season 5 brings back the entire original cast which includes Jeffrey Tambor, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, David Cross, and others.

Fortunately, it seems that fans of the show won’t be made to wait for too long as the report mentions that the second half of the season with the eight remaining episodes will be released at some point later this year.

This won’t be the only new season that Netflix splits this month. It has done that for other comedies as well including The Ranch and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
