If you own Battlefield 1 but didn’t quite get around to buying its first paid DLC then you’re in luck. The first Battlefield 1 DLC has gone free for a limited time albeit only on Xbox One and PC. It’s actually free for the next couple of weeks so you have all the time in the world to download it before the clock runs out.

This isn’t some free weekend trial sort of thing. Those who download the first Battlefield 1 DLC for free before May 15th will be able to keep it indefinitely. This is a pretty good opportunity to get the DLC that normally costs $15 for absolutely nothing.

The first DLC expansion for Battlefield 1 is called They Shall Not Pass. It brings four new maps, six unlockable weapons, the Trench Raider elite class, two additional Operations as well as the Frontlines mode.

A total of four DLC expansions were released for Battlefield 1 and the idea with offering the first one for free would certainly be to entice players to spend money on the remaining expansions. Whether or not you want to do that is entirely up to you but in any case, a free DLC expansion is too good to pass up.

Battlefield 1 players on Xbox One can get the free DLC from the Xbox Marketplace and PC gamers can get it from Origin.
