Gamers these days are spoilt for choice when it comes to gaming headsets, but in case you’re looking for more options to choose from, you might be interested to learn that Alienware has announced a new gaming headset ahead of E3 2018 in the form of the aptly named Alienware Wireless Headset.

As the name suggests, this is a wireless gaming headset so if you’d rather not deal with the fuss of cables and would like to take advantage of the freedom that wireless headsets offer, then this could be for you. The headset will feature 7.1 virtual surround sound which means that when playing games that rely on positional advantage, you should be able to hear the direction in which your enemies are coming from.

It will also feature the AlienFX lighting system which is compatible with more than 160 games. There will also be downloadable themes and according to Alienware, the headset will offer up to 8.5 hours of battery life with AlienFX on, and 15 hours with it off. There will also be a microphone with noise cancellation features that can be retracted when not in use.

As for pricing, the Alienware Wireless Headset is priced at $229 and is expected to be available worldwide on the 11th of June.
