Cloud storage is a great way for users to keep their files synced and available across multiple devices, such as phones, computers, tablets, and more. It makes accessing them easier if you switch between devices frequently. Now for those who use Gmail, you might be interested to learn about a new partnership between Google and Dropbox.

This has resulted in a new Dropbox add-on for Gmail where according to Dropbox, “With the Dropbox add-on for Gmail, you’ll be able to view, store, and share any file—from the smallest doc to the largest video—without leaving your inbox. This integration deepens our investment in the G Suite ecosystem, offering a cross-browser, cross-platform addition to our existing Dropbox for Gmail extension for Chrome.”

This also means that anyone can access the shared file or folder from your Dropbox without the need to install special software. It also reduces the need for users to hop between apps, which according to Dropbox eliminates distractions. The add-on will also allow users to centralize everything so that users can save files from their email directly to Dropbox, thus keeping files and folders synced immediately.

For those who think that this add-on might be of use to them, it is available via the G Suite Marketplace so head on over if you’d like to add it to your Gmail.
