#IFA18 – At IFA this week, we have seen Acer launch several gaming-related gadgets, such as the Predator Thronos gaming “chair” and also new Predator and Nitro gaming displays. That being said, it wouldnt really be a true gaming announcement without the launch of a gaming laptop, right?

Thankfully Acer is more than happy to oblige with the announcement of its Predator Triton 900 gaming laptop. There is no doubt that the laptop has the necessary hardware to pull off gaming on the go, but one of its unique features would be its design, where Acer has given the display a flipping display.

No, we’re not talking about hybrids/convertible laptops which can be transformed into a tablet. As you can see in the video above, the Acer Predator Triton 900 will have a display that has a hinge that lets it flip the screen around. The point behind the design is that this will allow the display to be brought closer to the user’s face in case they don’t want the keyboard getting in the way.

As for the laptop’s specs, we’re looking at a 3840×2160 display with an NVIDIA GeForce GPU and an Intel CPU powering the rig. Acer did not dive into details surrounding the Predator Triton 900 save for sharing its unique hinge display, but other features teased in the video also includes a mechanical keyboard, a trackpad that can also double up as a digital number pad, dedicated media keys, and a front-facing speaker.
