We have been hearing rumors that Fujifilm is expected to announce the X-T3 at Photokina 2018, and it seems that the company will be wasting no time in announcing it and shipping it. According to a report from Fuji Rumors, it seems that the X-T3 will be shipped out in the later part of September as well.

For those who aren’t up to date on Photokina 2018, the event will take place from the 26th to the 29th of September, 2018. This means that if the rumors are true, the camera could be announced at the event (or maybe earlier) and shipped on the same day. Given how Nikon’s new Z6 and Z7 cameras have been announced, and with Canon expected to make an announcement soon, we imagine that Fujifilm is no doubt feeling the heat.

Details about the X-T3 are a scarce at the moment, but it is expected to be the successor to the X-T2 that was launched a few years ago, although rumor has it that it could potentially be priced slightly lower than its predecessor. It is also unclear if Fujifilm could be keeping the design of the camera or if they might take some cues from the X-H1 which comes with a large grip, something that many of the reviews seem to have praised.
