It’s no secret that Samsung has been working on 8K TVs and while many have yet to upgrade to even a 4K set, it appears that the company is going to launch its first 8K TV at the upcoming IFA 2018 convention in Berlin later this month. Samsung has already put up a massive sign in Berlin which suggests that it will be unveiling an 8K TV at the convention.

The sign makes it clear that Samsung might talk about its first 8K QLED TV at IFA 2018 later this month. “Prepare to be amazed at IFA,” says the sign.

Samsung showcased its Q9S 8K TV at the Consumer Electronics Show in January this year. It also mentioned during a presentation at the QLED and Advanced Display conference a couple of months back that it would be releasing multiple 8K TVs this year.

The company didn’t say back then how many models it’s going to release, how much they will cost, and when they will be available for purchase. We might get the answer to some or all of these questions at IFA 2018.

The billboard that Samsung has put up in Berlin ahead of IFA 2018 does speak for itself. It remains to be seen, though, if the company will merely be demonstrating the technology at the convention or if it will finally reveal more details about the public launch of its 8K models.
