After years of being teased, Square Enix has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be launching on the 29th of January, 2019. This means that we still have a few more months until the game is official, and we’re sure that many gamers can’t wait to get their hands on it. However the good news is that Square Enix has announced something that will tide gamers over until then.

Dubbed the Kingdom Hearts: VR Experience, this is as its name implies which is where players will be able to enjoy a bit of the Kingdom Hearts world, except in virtual reality (VR). “Kingdom Hearts fans can relive some of their favorite memories from the storied franchise with this special, immersive experience. This holiday, gather your friends and family to enjoy a free 10-minute interactive video featuring the series’ iconic, breathtaking music.”

Unfortunately this experience will only be available for those with the PlayStation VR. This means that if you own the HTC Vive or the Oculus Rift, it’ll be too bad since you will be missing out on this. The VR Experience will be free to download which we guess serves as a good marketing tool for those who have yet to buy the game. There is also no mention of when it will be made available save for the holiday season, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
