When the OnePlus 6 was first teased, it was revealed that the handset had a notch. At that time it was rather controversial as it wasn’t too long after Apple launched the iPhone X which also featured a notch, a design that many did not seem to like. However OnePlus seemed to think that users would “love it”.

That being said, it appears that while the company is trying to get users to “love it”, they have also made some efforts to try and make it smaller. Thanks to a recently leaked photo that was uploaded onto Slashleaks by user King Star, it shows the alleged retail packaging of the OnePlus 6T.

The packaging also shows the diagram of the handset which has also revealed that the notch on the phone is smaller than its predecessor. So far out of all the notches we’ve seen, the Essential Phone has managed to pack one of the smaller notches, but this leak seems to suggest that OnePlus could have them beat or maybe made one just as small (it’s hard to tell based purely on the diagram).

That being said, it is unclear when the OnePlus 6T will be announced. Last we heard it could be announced next month where it could also find its way to T-Mobile where it is expected to be exclusive to the carrier.
