Not all displays were created the same. Given that people have different needs from their displays, this has resulted in companies creating displays for different purposes, such as gaming where the emphasis could be on faster refresh rates and also syncing with the GPU to prevent screen tearing and ghosting.

For creative professionals who might have a need for a display for photo or video editing or graphic design, then perhaps you might be interested to learn that Philips has recently taken the wraps off a new 32-inch 4K display which is apparently aimed at creative professionals with features such as support for HDR, and also a mode that reduces blue light which is said to cause sleep problems.

Dubbed the Philips Brilliance monitor with the model number 328P6VUBREB, this monitor will feature a 4ms response time and a 60Hz refresh rate. It will also offer 600 nits of brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio, and there will also be a USB-C port which will allow users to connect devices like the MacBook Pros to it.

For non-USB-C users, there will also be other display options such as DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 inputs. There are also four USB 3.0 ports, one of which will offer fast charging for mobile devices. The display was originally announced in the UK and is expected to be available in November for around $740. No word on US availability just yet.
