If you enjoy playing puzzle style games, there might be a chance you are familiar with Level-5’s Professor Layton series. The game has been launched mostly for Nintendo’s handheld consoles, but some have made their way onto mobile, such as Professor Layton and the Curious Village which was released in Japan earlier this year.

For those who aren’t in Japan  but would love to get their hands on the game, you’ll be pleased to learn that in a tweet from Apple’s App Store, it has been revealed that the game will be making its way onto iOS devices in the US soon. It has been noted that this will be a direct port of the game, which means that unlike other titles such as Fire Emblem Heroes or Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, this will not be one of Nintendo’s main mobile releases.

However despite that, it should still be very much welcome as it is one of the more classic Nintendo handheld titles. Details about its iOS release is scarce at this point in time, but as Apple mentions, more details are expected to be shared soon, which presumably includes pricing and availability, so gamers will want to keep an eye out for that if this is a title they might be interested in.
