When it comes to gaming devices, keyboards and mice and headsets are pretty common. However we’ve also seen other gaming devices such as monitors designed for gaming, along with routers. If the latter is something you’re in the market for, then you might be interested to learn that TP-Link has a new gaming router in the form of the Archer C5400X.

As you can see in the image above, this router is a beast in terms of its design, along with the sheer number of antennas which presumably have been designed to help cover as much ground as possible. The monitor will come with a 1.8 GHz 64-bit quad-core CPU, three co-processors, along with 1GB RAM, all of which is said to help the router reach WiFi speeds of up to 5,400Mbps over 2.4GHz, and two 5GHz bands. There will be eight Gigabit LAN ports and also one Gigabit WAN port.

According to Louis Liu, CEO of TP-Link USA, “Archer C5400X is our most powerful gaming router yet, made to power the performance that gamers need and give your gaming rig the boost it deserves. This feature-rich router is designed to connect more devices with speed and precision to maximize throughput and minimize delays whether you’re gaming on your own, with family or hosting a LAN party with friends.”

Unsurprisingly all this power will not come cheap as TP-Link has priced the Archer C5400X for $400.
