Xiaomi is best known for making affordable devices that punch above their weight in the specs department. That’s the case with the company’s new media streaming box as well. The company has now launched the Mi Box S in the United States. It’s a $59 device that is capable of streaming 4K HDR content.

The Mi Box S has a quadcore processor with 2GB of RAM and 8GB storage. That’s more than enough for a device of this kind. It’s capable of playing 4K HDR content at up to 60 frames per second and comes with support for Dolby DTS. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.2.

It’s an Android TV-powered device and it ships with the latest version of Google’s TV-focused OS. The remote has a dedicated button for Google Assistant. The digital assistant will enable users to perform a wide variety of tasks with this set-top box in addition to streaming multimedia content.

The Mi Box S is $10 cheaper than its predecessor, the Mi Box. Xiaomi is going to charge $59 for it. Xiaomi doesn’t release a lot of devices in the United States but this is one that it’s bringing Stateside. It will be available for purchase in the country starting next month from Walmart.
