Nintendo’s Amiibos have proven to be rather popular not just amongst gamers, but also collectors. For those unfamiliar, Amiibos are basically tiny figurines of characters from various Nintendo games. These figurines can be lined with the console and their accompanying game where it will unlock additional content.

Now thanks to dataminers, it seems that they have uncovered some evidence that seems to point towards there being a Diablo Amiibo for the Nintendo Switch. Given that Diablo 3 for the Nintendo Switch is currently set for a release on the 2nd of November, the idea that there might be an Amiibo for the game wouldn’t come as a surprise.

Presumably the toy in question will be based on the Diablo character itself, but we haven’t heard anything from either Blizzard or Nintendo so take it with a grain of salt for now, althoug the datamine suggests that there could be three: Diablo, a Treasure Goblin, and a generic Amiibo. It has also been suggested that the Amiibos will unlock an additional location and could also spawn a powerful demon, which presumably will drop better quality loot.

As it stands Diablo 3 for the Switch will come with pretty much everything, which includes Diablo 3, the Reaper of Souls expansion, the Rise of the Necromancer DLC, and also some exclusive Switch transmogs. Assuming the datamine is accurate, there might be an incentive for gamers to buy the Amiibo if they’re looking for additional content beyond what is offered.
