One of the rumors from earlier this month is that come 2019, the Samsung Galaxy S10 could see Samsung finally remove the headphone jack from its phones. Given that Samsung has kept the headphone jack all this while, it didn’t really come as a surprise to learn that they might finally be giving into the trend.

However according to a report from Bloomberg, that might not necessarily be a done deal just yet. According to the publication’s sources, it seems that Samsung is still “toying” with the idea of removing the headphone jack, and that the company has built a Galaxy S10 prototype that does not come with the port.

This means that there is a chance that Samsung could ultimately decide that maybe removing the headphone jack might not be prove to be beneficial enough for them to go through with it, so fingers-crossed if you’re someone who is pro-headphone jack. The previous report claims that should such a device be launched, Samsung will be providing dongles/adapters for its customers which seems to be more or less standard operating procedure for most devices these days.

In any case today’s market is flooded with all kinds of wireless headphones and earbuds, so unless you consider yourself an audiophile that must have wired headphones, we’re sure that there’s probably a pair of wireless headphones out there for you.
