Disney is expected to officially launch their streaming service next year. The company had confirmed that Marvel shows would be part of the streaming platform, and now it looks like we might have an idea of at least one of the shows that they could be developing, thanks to a report from Variety.

According to the report, Marvel is said to be developing a TV series based on the Marvel characters Falcon and the Winter Soldier, both of whom have appeared in various MCU movies in the past (in fact some think that the Winter Soldier could eventually become the new Captain America), with their latest appearance being in Avengers: Infinity War.

The report also claims that Malcolm Spellman of Empire fame will be writing the script for the series. However it should be noted that this will be limited TV series, meaning that it might be a single season run for all we know. It also apparently won’t be the only limited series run as Variety has learnt that Marvel and Disney were preparing multiple limited series based on characters from the MCU that have yet to get their own solo film, such as Loki and Scarlet Witch.

It is unclear if the original actors are expected to reprise their roles, but it would make sense if they did, plus it would be less confusing for viewers who watch the series and also watch the movies. No word on a possible launch date but given that Disney’s streaming service will only launch in 2019, don’t expect to see it anytime soon.
