We’re sure many of us have watched music videos on YouTube and thought to ourselves, wouldn’t it be great if we could watch that artist live in person? Bands and artists have tried to make it easier for their fans to follow their tour dates by posting on social media, but now it looks like YouTube wants to make it easier for fans to attend concerts.

The company has announced a partnership with Eventbrite in which fans watching music videos will be able to buy tickets to concerts easily through the video itself. “Starting today, fans watching videos from YouTube Official Artist Channels will see Eventbrite listings for live music performances throughout the U.S. below the video. With one easy click on the ‘Tickets’ button, they’ll be able to purchase directly from Eventbrite.”

They add, “Through our partnerships with Eventbrite and Ticketmaster, YouTube now covers more than 70% of the US ticketing market and we’ll continue to add new artists and venues of all sizes to our list in North America as well as expand globally.” As you can see in the screenshot to the right, Official Artists Channels will have a “Ticket” button which will take users directly to Eventbrite’s website where users can then make their purchase.

It does cut down a few steps and can also help users save time from having to find the listing, so if you do love attending concerts then this could be a feature worth keeping an eye out for.
