Nintendo’s upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will feature pretty much every Smash character that has been released to date. It will also include a bunch of new ones taken from Nintendo’s newer franchises such as Splatoon. However in case the 70+ playable characters simply isn’t enough, not to worry as Nintendo has it all planned.

This was revealed in a tweet by the game’s director Masahiro Sakurai (via IGN) where he confirmed that Nintendo already has the DLC lineup of characters planned. “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s DLC line-up is now complete. This time the selection was made entirely by Nintendo. I decide if we can create a fighter based on their selection, then come up with the plan.”

He also followed up with a request to gamers and fans to stop spamming him with requests, all of whom we can only imagine have their own input on which character would be a great addition to the game. “It’s great to dream about your favorite character joining the battle and I appreciate your passion, but please try to stay on topic when replying to tweets and refrain from flooding us, and other users, with requests.”

At this point in time it is unclear as to who these five new DLC characters are, but they are expected to feature their own stage and own music tracks, and will cost gamers $25 for the entire Fighter’s Pass (or $6 per character if you’d prefer).
