According to a couple of reports, it seems that Apple could be working on a new Smart Battery Case for their new iPhones. Now according to a new report from Appleosophy which has been verified by 9to5Mac, it looks like we are seeing more evidence that a new Smart Battery Case could indeed be in the works.

The report from Appleosophy has revealed what appears to be part of a document to resellers on how to present the company’s smartphone cases, and in that document it seems to reference the Smart Battery Case for the iPhone XS and XS Max, and also seems to show photos of the case which is in line with the previously leaked images.

What’s interesting about these particular cases is that they are made of leather, versus the previous Smart Battery Case that uses silicone. We’re not sure if there will be options for a silicone version for the new model, or if they will all use leather. Also it was not mention whether or not the iPhone XR will be getting a Smart Battery Case of its own as the document doesn’t seem to mention the iPhone XR at all.

In any case there’s no word on when we can expect these cases to be launched, but presumably with these documents being sent out to resellers, it probably won’t be too long until it becomes available.
