Netflix announced its Carmen Sandiego reboot back in 2017. There hasn’t been a lot of news about the series since then. However, there’s finally an update and those who have been waiting for this series will be delighted to know that it arrives very soon. They should clear a few days in their calendar next month.

Netflix confirmed today that its upcoming Carmen Sandiego reboot is going to premiere on January 18th. All 20 episodes will be available for streaming at once in true Netflix fashion. Each episode is some 22 minutes long.

Gina Rodriguez will be voicing Sandiego in this animated series. She’s also going to be playing the character in the live action Carmen Sandiego movie that Netflix is due to release in 2019 as well.

The animated series is divided into two parts. The first focuses on her past that resulted in her criminal career and the second on recent heists that happen across the globe. Netflix has released a couple of images from the upcoming animated series to give us a glimpse of what it may look like when it does arrive.

Netflix hasn’t released a lot of information about the plot of this series and the themes that it will revolve around. Fortunately, fans will not have to wait for much long as January 18th is just over a month away.
