It looks like just about everyone is looking to launch their own streaming services these days. We know that Disney has plans to launch a streaming service come 2019 where subscribers are expected to be able to access Marvel shows. However as some of you might have heard, DC has beaten them to the punch with its DC Universe service.

However given that there are some people with subscriptions to other services, not everyone might be inclined to subscribe to a new service. We’ve known for a while that DC Universe’s Titans series will eventually find its way onto Netflix, and the date that we can now expect to see it is the 11th of January, 2019.

For those unfamiliar, the Titans series is sort of based on the Teen Titans franchise. However in the DC Universe version of the show, it has a considerably darker tone to it, much more violence and profanity. In a way one could call it a more grown-up/edgy version and so far it has receive fairly positive reviews.

Bringing it to Netflix will help make it easier for DC to let others gain a taste for their shows before deciding if they want to sign up full time with its DC Universe service. However the downside for Netflix subscribers is that it could eventually end the same way with Marvel’s shows, where once the licensing agreement ends, they won’t be able to watch it anymore.
