There is a reason why movies aren’t released the moment they are ready. This is because there are a variety of factors to consider, such as whether or not there are movies that are similar in nature that could potentially distract from the release, how many people are free to watch the movie (such as during the holiday season), and so on.
The problem with streaming these days is that there are too many choices to pick from. Some believe that the sheer number of options available has made it too unrealistic for people to subscribe to all, resulting in piracy going back on the rise. However, if you are interested in free content, you might be in luck.
The origin story of Batman’s nemesis, the Joker, has been shrouded in mystery for decades as there doesn’t seem to be a definitive story of how the Joker character came to be. As some of you might have heard, there is a standalone Joker movie in the works directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix, and now its official teaser trailer has since been released.
Director Zack Snyder was set to direct the DCEU’s Justice League movie, and he did for a while, at least until a family tragedy struck where he was forced to take a break from work. He eventually handed the reins over to Joss Whedon where massive reshoots were made that affected the end result of the movie.
DCEU’s Suicide Squad had a lot of promise in its premise, but unfortunately the movie wasn’t particularly well-received when it was released. We know that a sequel is in the works but apparently it won’t be a direct sequel to the first movie. Instead it is expected to be a “total reboot” of Suicide Squad.
The standalone Batman movie has felt like it was all over the place as there was a bit of confusion as to who will star in it, who will direct it, and so on. However as some of you might have heard, DC has beaten them to the punch with its DC Universe service.
Several months ago, there was a report that suggested that actor Henry Cavill was done playing as Superman. Combine that with reports of Ben Affleck also apparently done in his role as Batman, it felt like the DCEU was in a bit of trouble as two of its stars and admittedly the more popular heroes could be on their way out.
Just the other day, Mortal Kombat 11 was officially announced, but apart from the announcement, not much else was known about the game. However it looks like we might be able to confirm at least one more character that would be added to the game and that comes in the form of Spawn.

The game’s official trailer was released, but apart from showing off two characters within the trailer, not much else was known about the game. Recently it was revealed that Netflix might stop offering the “Friends” TV series in its catalogue starting in 2019, citing discussions with Warner Bros. Last month it was reported that during the Game Awards, Mortal Kombat 11 could be announced. Given that Mortal Kombat X was announced in 2015, we suppose it does feel like it is as good a time as any to announce a sequel. If you’re a fan of the franchise, then you’ll be happy to learn that the rumors are true.
