Apple Music has seen considerable growth ever since it was launched a few years back. The service now has more than 56 million subscribers, making it one of the most popular music streaming services out there. It will be used this year to announce Grammy nominations in select categories, the Recording Academy has confirmed.

Grammy Awards nominations were first supposed to be announced on Wednesday, December 5th. However, they have been pushed back to Friday, December 7th, due to the scheduled memorial services for former President George H.W. Bush. The announcement of the nominations has been pushed back by a couple of days for this reason.

The Recording Academy has confirmed that nominations for select Grammy Awards categories will be announced on Apple Music and CBS This Morning at 8:30 am ET. It will then announce nominations across all 84 categories fifteen minutes later. The full list will be available on Grammy.com.

The company has long positioned Apple Music as a unique service, something more than just another place where subscribers can stream music on-demand. Being the exclusive provider of select Grammy nominations is a testament to that objective.

Those who use Apple Music can rely on the service to find out select 2019 Grammy Awards nominations come Friday.
