LG has announced that it’s going to unveil a capsule-based “craft” beer making machine at the Consumer Electronics Show 2019 next month. The machine will make the brewing process incredibly easy through single-use capsules, an optimized fermentation algorithm, and a self-cleaning feature which means that it would be easy to live with this machine.

LG has said that this machine will be perfect for those who seek the satisfaction of creating their own beer. It simplifies the art of brewing beer to a one-touch activation procedure.

The single-use capsules contain yeast, malt, hop oil, and flavoring. Once the capsule is inserted, users just have to press a button as the LG HomeBrew will perform all the steps from fermentation and carbonation to serving and cleaning all on its own. It’s like Nespresso for beer.

The fermentation process is controlled by an algorithm with precise temperature and pressure control for “guaranteed brewing success.” All of the cleaning frustrations related to conventional home brewing methods are also handled by the machine itself. Five distinctive beers will be available at launch, “American IPA, golden American Pale Ale, full-bodied English Stout, zesty Belgian-style Witbier and dry Czech Pilsner.”

Users will be able to keep an eye on the status of their LG HomeBrew through the companion app which will be released for both iOS and Android. No word as yet on the pricing and availability of the machine. We’ll likely get that information at CES 2019 next month.
