If you’ve been looking forward to getting Capcom’s upcoming Resident Evil 2 Remake and are planning on playing it on your Xbox One, maybe it’s time to start clearing out some space in case you’re running low. This is because thanks to a listing on the Microsoft Store, it has been revealed that the game will be a 21GB install.

So far at the moment only Microsoft has listed the install size of the game. We expect that due to it being developed for different platforms that the version for the PC and PS4 could be slightly different as well, although hopefully it won’t vary too wildly. However based on previous releases, such as Resident Evil 7, the variations between the platform install sizes were only a couple of gigabytes, so we expect that this should be the same here as well.

The Resident Evil 2 Remake is currently set for a release on the 25th of January, 2019 where it will launch on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One (sorry Switch gamers). The description of the game reads, “A deadly virus engulfs the residents of Raccoon City in September of 1998, plunging the city into chaos as flesh eating zombies roam the streets for survivors.” It will feature brand new graphics that makes the game feel like a modern game, but at the same time retaining aspects of Resident Evil 2 that made it such a classic.
