Being able to bond with your partner over a shared interest is great, such as video games where in the past we have seen many gamers get together and get married over a video game. We’ve also seen some video game themed weddings, and now it seems that over in Japan, Square Enix is actually offering up official Final Fantasy XIV themed weddings.
This is done in collaboration with Japan-based wedding company Duexzero where your wedding outfits will be modeled after those that are in the game (as you can see in the photo above, which should be familiar to players of the game), and your guests will be served food and drink that are also based in the game. We have no idea how much such a wedding could cost, but it might be something worth checking out if you and your partner are both really into the game.
In the past we have seen video game themed weddings where the couple usually takes it upon themselves to come up with everything, so to have Square Enix make it official is a nice touch. Plus it has been pointed out that Square Enix already supports weddings through the game by giving couples special items like a ring that lets you teleport to each other, so why not take it into the real world, right?
