The Google Assistant will now be able to provide more help during your upcoming trips. Google announced today that it’s introducing a couple of new features for the personal assistant with an aim to make travels a bit easier for the users.

Google Assistant already allows users to search for upcoming flights, track flight status, and get prices. These capabilities are now being expanded. Google Assistant will soon allow users to check into their flight, save, and retrieve their boarding pass using the Assistant on Android and iOS.

Users traveling domestically on United Airlines with their flight confirmation in Gmail will automatically get a notification from Assistant on their phone that check-in is available. They can also say “Hey Google, check in to my flight” to get the Assistant to check in for them. Once checked in, the boarding pass will be visible in Google Play by saying “Hey Google, show me my boarding pass.” This feature will be rolled out first with domestic flights on United Airlines and will be expanded to more airlines and flights soon.

The Assistant will also be able to help book hotel rooms in response to commands like “Hey Google, I’d like to book the Roosevelt Hotel in New York on January 12th.” It will show availability, different rates, and let users easily reserve a room with payments being handled by Google Pay.

Its partners for this include major chains like InterContinental Hotels Group and travel agencies such as Priceline and Expedia. This feature is currently available on Android and iOS smartphones in the United States.
