There are a lot of keyboards out there that are marketed to be small and slim, making it ideal to be brought around. However mechanical keyboards for the most part tend to be big, thanks largely to the use of its switches and the size of its keycaps. However if you wanted a mechanical keyboard that you could bring around with you, then maybe the Keychron could be worth checking out.

Hailed as being an “ultra-slim” mechanical keyboard, the Keychron has the added advantage of being wireless too. They are also boasting that it has all the Mac function keys which means that you will be able to use it with a Mac computer just fine. There will also be dedicated keys to launch digital assistants like Siri, Cortana, and voice dictation.

There is also RGB backlighting so that you can use it in the dark without any issues. As for its choice of switch, it uses a Fraly switch (which we admit we have not heard about before). It is a tactile switch so it will make some noise while you type. In terms of pricing, the 87 single-LED version is priced starting at $74, while the full-sized RGB version will go for $94.

The Keychron is not the first of its kind as in the past we have covered another low-profile mechanical keyboard with the Hexgears X-1. That could also be worth taking a look at if you’re looking for another wireless low-profile mechanical keyboard.
